Default BIOS Flashing

Hi there,
I'm in need of a BIOS flash so I can use a processor I've been sent. The problem is I'm unsure of 3 things.

1.Seeing as I have the EZ-Flash facility on my Motherboard do I still need the ROM file & Afudos? I know I need the ROM file but I'm just pondering whether I can just put it onto a flash drive and use it with EZ-Flash.

2.Would using a flash drive still run on the same principle a floppy would? EG: You create an MS-DOS startup disk etc.

3.In general what's the difficulty level I'm looking at here?

I can't seem to find an answer to any of these in the 5 - 6 guides I've been through. If anyone could offer an opinion I'd be most grateful. Thanks

I would recommend you have the work done by a reputable computer store.
If you make a mistake restoring your BIOS, your computer will not work.
Then, you will have to take it to the shop anyway.

so that means me as someone wanting to help has to go and have a look? I do not think thats how its meant to be is it? surely a poster requesting help should put all the information in the thread so someone helping has it all to hand?? does that not make sense to you?

Zinglebarb, the purpose of the My PC dropdown is that, for those who fill out the information, they don't have to enter it for each thread they post.

You can enter the data under Control Panel ... Options.
