can you get cream coloured pci-e slots?, i have one that looks identical to pci-e but its different colour. Also can faulty slots make hissing noises?

Yes derek you can get creme slots,they usaly are provided one black one creme when you even get orange and blue.

The hissing noise is your GPU or power supply or even your CPU due to high end GPU?

Yes, there are some motherboards around that have cream coloured PCI-E slots indeed. Normally black and cream, but some come with slots all the same colour.

hmmm, not quite sure about the hissing noise, but it's possible, but unlikely. A hissing noise would more likely to come from a capacitor. Check all the capacitors onboard, make sure that none have burst, fat or leaking!

ok, its just that i had a graphics card i thought it made the noise but i moved it to the creame slot and no noise.

a capacitor below the pci-e slot is loose, could this be producing the noise?
