Intel® 945G Express Chipset

Computer is an Acer Aspire E650 (reference above links).

I am looking of importing my motherboard and everything else into a new computer case. My case is very tiny and heat is becoming an issue. I have the perfect case picked out - I just have to know if this is ATX compatible.

Thanks!

(P.S. - How hard is it to transfer things into a new case? Seems easy - but so does everything. Do you just remove the screws and transfer it all over?)

Your motherboard should be a Micro-ATX which is compatible with almost all standard cases. It should all work fine, the only problem you might run in to is the screws that hold the motherboard on might be proprietary screw heads, as my gateway does. If not, you should have no problems at all, just be careful to ground yourself and be gentle with the motherboard.

This might be a dumb question, but what is the best way to ground yourself?

And is there like an order of operations here?

Hi,

This is the best way to ground yourself whilst working inside a PC. Antistatic wrist strap - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - although some may see this as overkill...

From TigerDirect: Don’t Let Static Cling Ruin Your PC Build!

Me? I use surgical gloves...latex...sexy AND static free
