Default Motherboard Reboots Immediately upon power up!

Hello, I am Dana Willoughby and I am new to these forums but not to computer tech. I recently bought a new 9600 AMD Phenom Black Edition processor 95w, Gigabyte S Series AMD AM2+ Phenom Series Motherboard MA790x-DS4, and 2 sticks of Corsair XMS2 xtreme performance DDR2 memory 1066mhz 2.1024mb sticks. I installed these peices of hardware in my computer today with my existing powersupply which is 1200 watt Galaxy PSU, and two 2900xt crossfired cards. When I first installed all of these hardware peices the computer booted up but made a series of beeps constantly for like 2 minutes straight. One set of beeps sounded as if it was coming from the PSU itself! Those beeps went with 2 short beeps backed by 2 sec silence and repeated itself continuosly on a loop even after I was in windows for the 5 minutes that lasted. After about 5 minutes of being in windows the comp auto shut down and when I tried to restart the system it would except power from the switch for about .5 sec. The fans would spin up but shut down almost immediately. I would try again and it would either repeat this or do nothing. If I unplugged the power and reset cmos for about 5 to 10 sec it would repeat this proceeder all over again.

I am really stumpted here and would greatly love if someone could help me out in this situation. I will provide all the info I can to get it working.

Thanks
Dana Willoughby

It appears that some of your new hardware is either faulty or incorrectly installed. The beeps you are hearing are coming from your motherboard, What they mean;

1 Short: System Boot Successfully
2 Short: CMOS setting error
1 Long, 1 Short: Memory or motherboard error
1 Long 2 short: Monitor or graphics card error
1 long 3 Short: Keyboard error
1 long 9 short: BIOS ROM error
Continuous long beeps: Graphics card not inserted properly
Continuous short beeps: Power Error

These can be found on page 92 of the manual that came with the motherboard.
If you look on page 93/94 there are some troubleshooting flow diagrams.

If you don't have the manual you can download it here: GIGABYTE - Support - Motherboard - Manual - GA-MA790X-DS4 (rev. 1.0)
