Nawwww stick with SATA... Is it SATA 150 or 300?

The only time you need a floppy now a days is for RAID... If you do not want to setup raid I would take out the cos battery for 30 seconds and put it back in then install windows... You have a new motherboard so it should recogize SATA

Is this yer board?

wow. ya, thats the Motherboard.
ok, i'll read the manual 1st, to see how to setup without RAID, as i cant seem to do so at the moment and think this is my only way, nothings going right with the RAID setup.
would you have any idea as to how to install Wins.Xp without RAID?

If you do not have 2 identical hard drives then you cannot setup raid... RAID is redundant array of inexpensive disks..

Just means 2 hd's are faster than one or 3 are faster than 2 etc..

You do not have to install raid o that motherboard.. Just take out the Little Battery (cmos) leave it out for 30 seconds and put it back in and vwallah you can install windows on the SATA drive
