Hey there guys, long time reader first time poster, so i built a new system cause i wanted a dual core cpu and a new board...so i thought "hey why not?" so this is what i had....

CPU - Intel P4 775 3.0ghz
1gb ddr-2 kingston ram
ati 9250 128mb video card
120gb wester digital HDD

This is what i have now...
Intel core 2 duo E4400
AsRock 4core Dual Sata mother board
2gb ram
ati x1650 pro
Running on Windows XP pro

so..the problem im having is...i got it all up and running..the OS loaded fine, (after a clean install) when ever i tried to install ANYTHING it wouldnt work, like my graphics drivers, the catalyst control center wouldnt work, i tried installing a game from a disc and got a cycle redunduncy check or somthing, then it said somthing about ..Msiexec.exe has encounterd a problem and needs to close, i installed ALL the drivers for my motherboard that i got on a disc. i have googled the problem and searched through many pages and tried many things, i just cant seem to find what the problem is....so im back to my old P4 system =[

ANY help or advice would be amazing, thanx guys
