Question Can not reset bios

pc will not boot. monitor ment black. steady light green light on the back of pc. keyboard does not recognize computer so no light shows.Fan now runs noisey and since it will not boot I can not reset bios. help me

Hi and welcome to the forum

Try removing the bios battery (on the motherboard) and the power cable. Leave them out for 5 mins then replace them and test.

nothing the fan just run and nothing comes on.

make sure your ram is in properly, try with 1 stick...
is this a new build?
this can happen if;
ram is not seated correctly
graphics card not seated properly.
or if its a lga 775 board it maybe bent pins on cpu socket (if a new build)

This is not a new computer it is approximately 3 going on 4years old. HP a705w
