Angry bios recovery help needed

hi all,
first of all this is my first post so hope you can understand what im on about.
ok the problem is i recently purchased 2 identical mother boards ( gigabyte 81865gme-775-rh rev 2.0) built first pc using pentium D 3.6ghz, all is fine with that system, built the next pc & decided as the board said supports core 2 duo that i would fit one a 2.4 infact, however the clock multiplier would only go to 9X thus running the processor at 1.8, also tried increasing the cpu frequency but no luck.

after this i decided to carry on & set up xp, then used @bios in windows to flash with latest bios, it went half way through the procedure & froze, after 20mins of no activity at all i hit the reset button & thats that, now the board powers up but no video or disc drive noise so i can only asume its not booting up just runing the processor.

have managed to get a copy of the bios from the other pc using the qflash utility in the bios on thast pc but have no idea how to get the bios back into the bios chip on my dead board, the bios chip is soldered to the board so a hot swap is not an option.

any help would be greatfully received, thanks desmo

You should be able to flash your BIOS by putting it on a floppy disk and booting from that.

Hi d_e_s_m_o and welcome to PC Help Forum.

Have you already tried to reset the bios, either by removing the bios battery and power for 5 mins or resetting the onboard jumper..if you have one?
