Default IDE and SATA (again) on a Foxconn M/board

hi, i am going to upgrade a spare case i have so i can run Vista (yeah i know curiosity killed the cat), the motherboard i am looking at is a Foxconn FC-MCP61SM2MA-RS2HV, it doesnt have onboard graphics as i want to put a half decent graphics card in it, but it does have :- IDE x 1 + Serial ATA II x 2 w / RAID 0, 1

It looks as if i can ONLY have ONE IDE device, so if i have an IDE Hard drive as the C drive, I wouldnt have anywhere left to plug in my IDE DVD writer drive ?.

So, if that is correct, and i got a SATA Hard drive, i would then only be able to have ONE DVD drive ?.

am i correct on this or am i barking up the wrong tree ?.

tim

You can run 2 devices on 1 IDE channel, the best idea would be to use a sata HDD and leave the IDE free for 2 optical drives.

thanks for that friend, of course i should have realised that with IDE, i have only just found out a few more relevant things about SATA as regards there being no jumpers to change for master/slave, it all done in the bios, apparently.
