Default [Fixed] Machspeed MoBo help needed

I just installed a Machspeed MSNV-939. I want to use a SATA 500 gig hdd as my primary driver, I guess the BIOS is only letting 130 gigs of the hard drive to work. I had this problem with an intel board, and the website had an easy fix to upload the BIOS for the problem.

I am trying to reinstall windows currently and keep running into a problem:

It ask to format and install windows on Drive C: (showing only 130 gigs), it goes through the format process and has to reboot. A bios screen comes up, saying press F1 to continue, and it will boot from the windows cd, only to go through the formatting process all over again.

Also, when I push "C" to create a partition during the installation, nothing happens, it only lets me format. I am just wondering if this is all related to the Sata drive not showing full capacity, and how to fix it.

Are you installing the correct SATA drivers at the initial "F6" Windows installation screen? Full details for your board (plus files) can be found here: Mach Speed Technologies - The only motherboard with a Lifetime Warranty!

Hengis, thanks. The machspeed website wasn't specific about which motherboards needed the sata driver installed, so no I didnt try this. I originally tried to boot up with the OS still installed from my previous MoBo, which would only work in safe mode, but the entire Sata Drive (500 gigs) was showing without problem, so I didin't think it was neccessary...

I have one small problem with following the instructions on their website to install the driver for the sata drive... that is the only PC I have with a floppy disc drive! Is it possible to install the third party driver at windows setup from the driver cd rom that came with my Motherboard? or from a cd-r which I can burn on another pc? Anything to avoid taking the floppy drive out to install to another pc, then putting back etc would be great.

Thanks I am working on this now, currently stuck at the last half of step 2, which is updating the xp files from the service pack... I am DOS illiterate and the commands typed out on this webpage don't work when copy and pasted to the CMD screen.

I found this website, Slipstreamed Windows XP CD Using SP2 which gives the full actual DOS text to copy and paste, and changed the xpSP2 folder to match, and it gives an error message when I try to use it. Hopefully I get this figured out soon... been quite a task so far.
