Check this out - this is from eDimensional's knowledge base...
My lights won't work, or my rumble doesn't work Please take the AudioFX headphones off and put them on the desk. Then turn up the sound to the loudest setting. Make sure the switch is put towards ON where the switch is on the AudioFX. Then turn the vibration wheel all the way and the volume wheel all the way up. Turn on some music or sound. You should hear it blasting on your desk. Do you see the lights come on at all? Is there rumble? Please make sure you switch USB ports if it's not working. It should be illuminating the lights on the side when loud sound is present. Then take the headset and try again when the USB is plugged in to a differnet port.
I know you've tried other ports...but do the lights show up?
From what I've read, there's no real "vibration" mechanisim in these headphones, it's just the frequency of sound that causes the "feeling" of vibration.
Try turning the bass up on your computer...it might help...
hmm I may believe we are getting somewhere. It turned every volume setting to max that I could find, and played some more music. It appears that the vibration effect is working, but very, very faintly. I can notice a difference when i toggle the vibration on/off switch. So perhaps it is not a USB problem? Or maybe it is, and the usb port isnt putting out enough juice? Would purchasing a PCI Usb card help this problem do you think?
