Question [Answered] What hard drive will work with my motherboard.

I was looking around for a new harddrive but i was kind of confused by the whole connection thing, All i want to know is what type of harddrive will work with my motherboard ATA, ATA/100, or SATA?

The type of motherboard that i have is TUL AX480A-GF Socket 939 ATI Radeon Xpress 200 ATX AMD Motherboard and i am running on windows vista 64 edition.

HI welcome to the forum it will take a hard drive of this spec UltraDMA133/100/66/33 Bus Master IDE hard drive what size where you thinking of putting in the PC?

I have found most brands to be fine just get one that has UltraDMA 133 and with the most cache memory.

Personally I'd look for seagate because they offer a 5 year warranty and they have been most reliable for me.

Avoid maxtor.
