Default [Fixed] Can't boot up!

Ok I wasn't positive what forum to put this in as at this point, it is a general hardware problem as I can't tell exactly what isn't working.

So I went today after work to turn on my PC and this is what happens....
------------------------------
This is how it started happenining untill it finally booted (explained later down the paragraph)

Hit the button, the fans start going, case fan lights turn on, cd drive lights turn on, I hear my fan on my video card.

There is NO internal beep that usually happens as the computer starts to boot, i can't get anything to show up on the screen (I keep getting no signal) and I also don't think I hear the HDD anymore either. ALSO, most of the time, it starts and does this for about 10 seconds and then turns itself off. A couple times it has started and done the same things as explained above but has never turned itself off, just kept running.

It was doing this untill probably on about the 10th attempt it booted up, I heard the beep and then this error showed up..

CMOS/GPNV Checksum Bad
-------------------------
Edited 944 PM PST
I just booted again but I got this error message instead of the other one:
" CMOS SETTINGS WRONG "
--------------------------------

At first I thought it was a HDD issue, but this shifts me to a Motherboard issue. But I still don't know what is wrong, why/how it happened, or what I can do to fix it.

Any help would be great, thank you very much.
