Default i915G Pentium D support

i have looked all over the place, and cannot get a clear answer. does the Intel i915G (grantsdale) chipset, with the lates BIOS update from Gateway, support Dual-core Pentium D processors? i keep getting mixed answers, and dont want to risk buying one and have it not work. thanks. (my mobo is a Gateway computer, with an Intel motherboard, and the Intel 915G chipset, utilizing standard 184pin DDR RAM. if it wont work, i will probably end up buying the fastest P-4 CPU i can.

i heard before that the 915G supports dual core, with a proper bios update, but whether this is true or not i dont know. im contemplating getting the Pentium D - Presler 915, or the smithfield 820. im leaning toward the presler due to the 65nm fabrication.... but if i cant, i will get the Pentium 4- 641 or the 650. probably the 650 because of the additional .2 ghz speed.
