Default help with mobo choise

hi all
just recently i've become disallusioned with ati and have gone down the nvidia path, so am lookin to get rid of my crossfire board a8r32 mvp deluxe.
but here's the prob...
there's am2+ coming out, and i think i want to stick with amd for processors, am lookin forward to the true quads coming out end of year. but am now thinking of sli settup and am not sure if intel boards are more favourable for sli... amd/ati
intel/nvidia.
novice at this really.
like the look of the crosshair and the striker extreme mobo's but are they soon to be outdated?
do i get an am2 board for now or bugger it all and sell the wife and get intel?

Well, hands down...Intel are beating AMD by miles (as much as i don't like it).

My next upgrade, as it stands, will definately be an Intel.

Since the AMD/ATI merger...i've been disappointed time and time again I don't hold very high hopes for the native quad cores from AMD...
Right now, I can spend $10000 (AU) and get 4gb ddr2 + a core2duo + dx10 video card + 250gb hd + a mobo that supports it all. not expensive at all...

All that said..i still hope that AMD pull their thumbs out, and start being good again.
