Default no beeps and no signal

My computer seems to have given up. Left it over night and this morning opened it to see for dust, looked clean and i didnt touch anything. Turned it on, uh oh, No Signal Detected on monitor and theres no beeps at all. The monitor actually stays off (orange), it gives me no signal when i turn it off and then on, then it turns off.

I tested the monitor on (this) laptop and it runs fine, so that aint the problem. The fan in the Graphics card is running so that seems to be working.

Strange theres no beeps tho. The comp is fairly basic P4 630 Processor. 1gb Crucial Mem, nVidia 6500, Gigabyte MB (GA-8q945P-G-RH), 330w PSU.

Dont see whats wrong (apart from the lack of beeps and picture).

I recently tried reseating the RAM thinking it could be the problem, however the computer now refuses to even turn on!! The on button does nothing. (When reseating the RAM i was told to drain residual power, something i havnt done before; could this affect anything)?

Seems to look more and more like a motherboard problem .

..or a PSU problem. Can you get your hands on another PSU to test? It's the cheapest/easiest to test option you have

i'm actually having the same problem and i do have a mobo LED. and i've tried another psu with the same results - no action at all (except the LEDs for the HD and power flicker on then off for a split second).

i was considering purchasing a new mobo/cpu because it isn't the first problem i've had with this combo and was looking to update to pci-e anyway; it's a shame the combo couldn't last more than 1.5 years.

any light anyone can shed on this subject for TripSwitch and I would be great!

hi,

I am new here...and yes.... i am having the same problems on BOTH my computer. It was working fine and then one day...it just go BLANK..without warming or anything...

The problem is that....when i turn on the PCs...there is no signal on the monitor. It is as if there is no video card and the monitor LED is orange.

Therefore, I thank is the BIOS..but i can't get to the BIOS if there is no signal... I have already reseat all the cards and RAM... reconfigure the harddrive and cd drive write...everything looks fine..

Please...help...anything will be greatly appreciative.
