Default mobo or cpu issue???

hey

i have a problem i think it might be my mobo or cpu,
half the time the computer wont even boot properly, all the fans will come on,, hdd will come on cd roms will come on but thats as far as it gets.
when i does turn on, "sometimes" i get a Vcore error in the mobo bios,
and on the first boot screen it somtimes reads my cpu as something differnt,
...its a p4 (530) 3ghz .... sometimes it shows as a celeron, or a 1.8ghz p4.
, also someimtes in the bois it says the normal voltage is 1.6, then somtimes 1.4

when i get it to load into windows i cant get it to stay on for more than a few hours without turning off, its not a heat problem, the cpu is running at about 38 4ish, case is never more than 40
sorry for rambling i just wanted to put down everything,
i cant post my system specs tomorrow when i get home from work,
if that will help
thankyou

Hi Bensta27,

I think that the problem might actually be with the Power Supply, especially as you mention quite a big drop in the vcore voltage.
If you can get the system up, get the app from here and post the votage readings that it comes up with.

Wow those are not looking healthy at all, especially the vcore, -12v, -5v, +5v.
Try borrowing another PSU and see if the rsults are the same.
