Hey guys - the tomshardware link i have in my signiture is a good source for all hardware reviews (one of many).

The truth of the matter is, everyone has a horror story from each brand...so i always clear my plate of all critism and read reviews of the boards in my price range.
If it's a close call, i'll always pick asus...

Ya me too. I love Asus as I have never had a DOA board or had one **** out on me. Thnere great boards even though allot of people are saying they are going under again, I just dont see it. But I also like Intel boards (if I had an Intel)

Hi Guys, I appreciate your input on this thread.

Please take a look at this....Gigabyte's GA-965P-DQ6 (rev. 3.3)

GIGABYTE - Product - Motherboard - Overview

At Amazon for $112....< I think? >
Amazon.com: Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 Socket LGA775 IntelP965 ICH8 Chipset Motherboard: Electronics

With all of these features.........
World's First Natively supported 1333MHz FSB
Quad Core Optimized
Windows Vista Premium Logo Certified
The Industry's Leading All-Solid Capacitor motherboard Design
Quad Cooling
Quad BIOS
Quad e-SATA2
Quad Triple Phase
Quad DDR2 Slots
Silent-Pipe
Speed
Smart
Safe
Intel Next-Generation Core™2 Duo Processor
Intel® P965 Express Chipset
Dual Channel DDR2 800
SATA 3Gb/s storage interface
Intel® Matrix Storage Technology
Gigabit LAN connectivity
IEEE1394 motherboard
Intel® High Definition Audio
Home theater Audio with Dolby and DTS support
RoHS compliant
ATI CrossFire

Where is the catch? I was hoping someone would mention this board. Why not? What's wrong with it? I know I do not know what I'm looking at, which why I posted this thread in the first place. Is this a case of Gigabyte having better Marketeers? None of the other manufactures seem to have all these features.

This reminds me of the saying, "If it is to good to be true, it probably is."

All of this for $112, what am I not seeing...............?

Wish me luck...

It's done..You can put this thread to bed.
I replaced the motherboard, the power supply, and the
chassis. Then, we reformated the HDD and reinstall Vista, because of
HAL...(Thank you very much, HAL...Not at all, Dave.) It only cost me $350
and the tech through in his service for free.
