Default Irritating message

Hi there, got my PC built up and bugger me it worked first time, just had to dismantle the gfx car and modify its fan

anyway when i boot after post it says no drive found... searching

i thought it was the SATA controller - which i disabled as i don't have any sata drives

any thoughts?

the mobo is an ASUS M2V

i have two ide HDD's installed, a WD caviar slave and a maxtor diamondmax primary
also have an FDD installed - old skool
and two DVD-rw's installed as well

Hi scorted! Glad to hear you got it up.

OK in the BIOS do these drives display?

You have probably already tried this but check the drives cables are plugged in properly.

oh yeah the bios has all the devices detected, which was what was puzzling me, thats why i disabled SATA support...

i'm using the PC it all works.

i get the message:

No devices found!! searching...

then it continues to boot
