Default Disable Sony Laptop BIOS memory caching or shadowing

Hi all,

I have Sony laptop model VGN-FS640. Har disk have problems, so I reinstall fresh Windows XP Pro. Everytime I try to install Windows, I have a blue screen with the following error message:

.....
Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.

I try to get in BIOS with F2, but I could not find any area to disable BIOS memory caching or shadowing.

How can I get in advance BIOS setup?

Help help help ....

Many thanks,

dtb

I have tried to get an online copy of your manual but the links on the Sony site are down...why not call Sony and get them to give you another address for the manual. It will tell you how to access the more advanced bios options.
