Default [Answered] New mother board set up Need Help

Got the parts fo my new compouter today. I pluged in everything put in the disk for the mother board like i thought i was suppost to and it said said somthing like disk faiuer. Mother board is biostar P4M80-M4. Went into the bioso and i didint register the Dvd drive? How am i soposed to install all the things. Maybe a genral out line of steps would help me. Thanks in advance

So in the BIOS have you selected the first boot device as the dvd drive?

Normally you install the drivers for the motherboard when you have installed the operating system have you?

That board has support for 4 IDE devices so did you set the DVD drive up on its own IDE channel and set the jumper to "master" on the rear of the drive?

Thanks alot my new computer shure is faster them my old one. Had no problums instaling the OS or mother borad drivers. I also put in a few new fans whitch mad it so much quiter. I hope i can build nother one this summer with an Intel Core 2.

Im glad you have solved your problem, even though it turned out to be operator error.
