Hell adro,

Welcome to PCHF.

Everything appears to be fine here, except for memory. I far as I can see there are two different models of this motherboard, one wihch supports DDR2 667, and the other DDR2 533. This motherboard does support overclocking very well be all accounts (altough personally don't recommend overclocking myself).

Welcome to PCHF adro!

What brand is that PSU?

I say this because if you buy a not so reputable brand PSU then if it dies it could take other components with it, i recommend getting a reputable brand name PSU like Enermax, Seasonic, Tagan, Antec, Silverstone.

thanks for the help guys

the PSU is supplied with the case, all i can find on it is, "Silent Purepower supply", though it is a Thermaltake. If the RAM speed is not supported, does that simply mean that it will not run at 900Mhz and be restricted to 667Mhz? Or will it not run at all?

No, the board is only designed for, and support 667's. Even if you did manage to get them working, there's no telling what problems these would cause. I'd expect constant BSOD's and data corruption.

Thermaltake PSU's are good you should be fine and the case is pretty good. I got the 'next' one up - Armor jr.
