Dearest th53-- this is a prime example of why you must must must reasearch your parts before you buy them. Many electronic items are non-returnable-- and in the case of a CPU or something costing $500.00 US or more this can be a CATASTROPHE. You got very lucky this time-- if you have questions about compatibilty-- CALL the manufacturer-- they're not going to sell you a product you cannot use... it would not be good business-- or Public Relations to do so...!! DO NOT buy anything on impulse or based on web advice-- what works for them might NOT work for you ! Be careful --there's a lot of vultures out there who care about money and naught else

Default good advice

good advice.i know there are a lot of not so nice people out there, not to mention how succeptable pc parts are and not easily returned(i wouldnt want a card that went somewhere else first) i did research my parts, i had asked not only the reliable company i bought from, but also the manufacturers and all said yes the card will work with my mb, cpu and so one.i didnt panic until i was installing the card and came accross term "pci 2.1" i have no experience with pci anything, and got confused with "pci 2.1" and pci 2.2". .
