Hi all (again)
As usual i'll start off by giving you helpful souls my pc's specs
Compaq Presario SR1280UK Desktop PC - Product Specifications
Sorry to be a pest ( i cant help but worry sometimes) but i recieved a new
PSU in the post today and i just wanted to be 100% certain that i wont destroy my rig with it.
I made a post in the past about this, here:
http://www.pchelpforum.com/cases/257...e-new-psu.html
This is the
PSU i got in the end (not the one i mentioned in that thread in my first post ^^)
Meggydog Computers
Anyway, as i said i got the
psu today in the post, and after looking at it there are a few things that bother me, firstly, on the box it says ATX 12V 2.0 (only the ATX part makes sense to me) and it also says Intel Pentium 4 prescott (i plan on upgrading to a Core 2 Duo, it will work right?) bah, here is a picture:

Another worry i have is this little red slide switch on the back of the
PSU, here is a picture so you can see for yourself:

As you can see, it says 230 on it, but if i slide the switch over to the right, it displays 115:

What is th purpose of this switch?, what does it do and what should i have it on? (115 or 230?). 4 years ago i had a
psu that had this switch, and when i turned it it blew my entire pc up...(i know, i should'nt have touched it

)
Thank you for the help, i really, REALLY appreciate it.
EDIT------------
I dont spose you guys know of something that would take up a floppy disk drive port would you? (usb hub or something?, anything'll do)
