Default Computer keeps switching off

Ok so here's the deal, about 4 years ago I bought a PC from some small computer store, they assembled it themselves, and clearly screwed up big time. So far the worst thing to happen was 4 capacitors on the motherboard blew up. since then i've replaced that mother board, put in extra cooling fans (lots...), and am now currently working on a new problem. a while back the integrated sound on my mobo failed, so i put in a new sound card. since then my computer keeps dying. thought it might be the power supply, so i replaced it. but it still keeps dying. is the power supply maybe not big enough or am i dealing with a dead mother board again here?
basically once the computer shuts off, i have to switch it off from the back, un plug the cable, and sometimes even restart the powerbar for it to switch on again.
any help would be awesome.

Hi Qertw,

Welcome to PCHF.

Can you make sure your power supply has enough power for the additional hardware. You can work out your requirements here: eXtreme Power Supply Calculator - What Power Supply Do I Need

38? Nooo, the PSU itself uses approx 38. Did you press the calculate button, or you could list your specs here?

have you checked the PS connectors on your motherboard? mine was doing the same thing, and the +5volts were low, (the USB wasnt working is explained) and i had to turn everything off too... i never found out what was wrong with it. what brand is the motherboard, cause that one was an MSI for Athlon XP. I it is not the PSU, i am still using that one, i think it is most likely you motherboard. Check in Hardware monitor if any of the voltages are low.
