Default Trouble Installing Windows On Newly Built PC

I just recently put together a new PC, everything seems to be running fine as everything shows up properly in the BIOS. After starting the Windows XP Home Setup when the computer restarts and says setup will continue after restart windows setup does not continue and wants to boot from CD again and start over. I swapped HDD into another compter and installed windows on it but when put into the new computer a message comes up saying verifying DMI Pool Data and hangs there. Ive tried several boot sequences but nothing works. Thanks in advance for any help.

This is the current hardware configuration of the computer if it helps at all.

nforce a-3 motherboard
radeon 1800 pro
1 GB 2100 DDR ramm
Seagate 40GB HD

Hello ABDE

Welcome to PC Help Forums

When installing XP you will see 2 instances of the message "Press any key to boot from CD"
Obviously press any key the first time but on the second occasion just leave it and press nothing and just leave it to install.
If you installed XP on a hard drive on another pc then put that hard drive back into the original pc you will have problems as XP will not recognise the hardware on the original pc.
You need to format and install on the pc you are going to be using.
