Can you give me links to where you are thinking buying these then I will be able to see for you if they will go together and work. Also for a gaming pc I would recommend a case with good ventilation and lots of places to put fans if you need them. Once I get the information above I will be able to tell you more

To define ultimate, or the best is completely opinionable. Aside from that, there are many many factors that go into making a pc that fits your needs, of course when someone says gaming, they simply want something as beefy as possible for there buck. With that said, anyone who is making a pc would need to know there spending limits before chosing the parts in which you desire. So perhaps you could state your limits.

Hi hoodie,

Both posts above are correct....however....

A case with lots of fans comes with lots of noise...i'm a gamer myself and have 3 case fans, and probably one of the coolest computers there is...it's not about fans, it's about airflow.

With the budget....you do need one, otherwise the cost of the computer will get out of control. But the most important thing in any PC - especially gaming - is your Power Supply (PSU). This is the first thing you need to find, as if you get a no named brand, it can alter the whole computers performance.

I'd recommend getting a SilverStone, ThermalTake, Enermax or Antec...Antec being last on the list.

Personally...I would go with a different hard drive, at least. That's a lot of room-- but it's IDE. This board would take full advantage of a newer Serial ATA drive's data-transfer rate. The IDE max transfer rate is 100 MB per second... Serial ATA's are 3 times that -- 300 MB per sec. Plus the cables are much slimmer-- making for easier installation and better air flow

Serial ATA

That was the 1st thing I spotted-- the rest I'll be looking at meantime.

Good spot ih8bills, i didn't even look at the hard drive.

That motherboard supports 8 SATA2 hard drives...SATA = 1.5/sec SATA2 = 3/sec

And I just noticed this...
that motherboard (same as mine btw) has SLI....nVidia technology.

the ATI 1900xtx....doesn't support SLI...it supports Crossfire...similar technology but different and will not work with SLI...the single card will work perfectly fine, but you've got an extra PCI-express port doing nothing that is only really used by graphics at the moment.
