Hi esquilax, sorry I haven't responded earlier.

To answer your questions - no, if you bent some pins and straightened them up properly - this will not cause an issue for the ram.

And you are correct. Pull out everything that's not vital to a computers process. Remove network cards, sound cards, hard drives, cd drives...just to see if the memory reports in the BIOS.

ok, so I tried to reseat the cpu and now when i turn the power on all my fans, hard drive, and cd-rom turn on but I get no display and no beeps....do you think this is because of the mobo or the cpu?

I'm probably just going to replace both.

Do your fans (CPU particularly) spin up? Did your PC work ok before you re-seated the CPU?

the fan actually points to the side (artic cooling freezer pro 64). and the PC did work ok before i reseated the CPU(asided from the one-memory stick thing).

Hi esquilax. pull your video card out, and reseat it in the slot again.

It might be just sitting a bit out of place.

i tried reseating the video card again, but I still get the same thing.

can you try resetting the CMOS?

There should be a jumper next to the battery.
