Default Help! continuous boot and reboot

have an ASUS A7V333 Motherboard. Every time I power up, the PC goes through the POST routine and gets to the Windows 'your PC didn't start properly etc...' screen. No matter what type of start up you select, Normal, safe etc, the routine shuts the PC down and ends up back at the ASUS splash screen. this goes on and on ..... Have tried a differen t hard drive with a copy of XP, the same. Have changed the memory, the same. Any suggestions?

Hi, and welcome on this forum.

Are you using new hardware, and a hard-drive on wich xp was installed already?? Everytime you change cpu, motherboard and sometimes graphic card, you have to reinstall windows xp, so have you changed any hardware recently??

Had similar problems like this, I needed to reboot several times before entering windows. Apparently it?s to do with insufficient power from the power pad I use a 450W so and the problem was solved so...
