Default ? problem with BIOS or M'board....

Hi guys,
I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, so I'll post away and let you decide....

Earlier this morning I updated the BIOS on my MB (ASUS A8N5X) according to the instructions in the guide and on the ASUS site. When I went to reboot the system, it freezes before even loading Windows (XP Pro) and to add to that I am unable to access the Boot menu as the keyboard won't work anymore. I'm not sure what to do next as I feel stuck at the moment.

Any ideas please?

Ta,
Aquaboy.

question.
Do you have a wireless or wired keyboard.

Hi Joeyfine,
Appreciate all the help I can get. Cheers.

Keyboard is wireless (MS Wireless Desktop Elite), but I thought that might be a reason why it won't work and I plugged in an old PS2 KB, which still did not work.

If I could only get the KB to work, I could probably solve the rest of the problem by reinstalling the original BIOS from it's CD, but I can't even get the CD to load from boot at the moment.

Howdy there Aquabot.
There is one thing you can do and hopefully it may work. You can clear your CMOS, by taking the case off of your pc and finding a little silver round battery and removing it for about 30 seconds and putting it back in. Then hopefull you can use the PS2 KB to get into your BIOS.
