Hello All, I'am putting together a new system.Motherboard won't let me keep my boot order settings. When starting pc,always trys to boot from cd even if I
have set to boot to hard drive.I have a Gigabyte 8S648FXP-RZC board,P-4
2.4 cpu. Thanks for any help.
A "normal" boot order is A=floppy B=cd/dvd C=HD , so that the system is setup to boot from cd before HD shouldn't be a problem unless you have a bootleble cd in youre drive.
But a bios should remember its settings , make sure that the "Cmos reset jumper" on the mother board isnt in the "reset" position , have a look in the manuall for the location of the jumper. Also the battery could be dead.
