Default What cpu socket does my motherboard have?

I recently had a look inside my PC. The code number on the motherboard is a MicroStar MS7093. I looked it up on the MSI website and it says

CPU
?Supports 64-bit AMD? Athlon64/64FX processor (Socket 939) ?Supports 3000+, 3200+, 3400+, 3500+, 3800+, 4000+, FX53 and FX55

I have a Athlon64 3400+ processor which I thought was a 754 socket, so why does it say it supports a 939 socket. Im confused:huh:

I think you'll find that's a 939 motherboard...so you're processor must be a 939 too.

I thought its a 939 socket motherboard, but am I right in saying that AMD dont make a 3400+ processor in a 939 socket?

Thanks for that. Everest home edition has told me that I have a AMD athlon64 3500+ processor venice S939:grin: which im happy about. But if I go to my system properties it tells me I have AMD64 Athlon 3400+. It also said on the box that my PC come in that its has a AMD64 Athlon 3400+. The more I look into this the more confused I get, but i guess the Everest isnt going to give the wrong info so it must be the 3500+
