Ok, Guys, This Is the Last Time Im Gonna Try And fix this problem. I am getting Angry with this. Forum moderators can prolly remember all of this, but im gonna have one more shot. I had said id fixed this, but its back. So Here is is, as clear as water,
  • Every Time i change the RESOLUTION of my PC, No matter if i am exiting a game or just changing it in DISPLAY PROPERTIES, It usaully sticks in the transition, leaving me with a blank screen and a cursor, which, yes i can move, but thats the only image i get. I use an INTEL 900 GMA Intergrated graphics chip on my Gigabyte Socket 775 8I915GVM Motherboard. Do any of you have any idea, wat it could be, maybe a hardware problem, or could it even be my Monitor. Who Knows, Bu please, try and help me, I am getting quite frustrated with this. Its a newley built computer, and this is the only problem i really have now, iv ironed all the rest out.
The rest of my pc specs are:
  • Intel celeron D 331
  • GENERIC pc2700 512mb ram
  • Intel 900 Gma Graphics
  • 8Ch Onboard Sound
  • I have a 19" Compucon Monitor, Going on 4 1/2 years old.
  • 80GB HD On same IDE as Cd rom (Could this be the Problem)
  • Windows xp Home
Thanks Guys, I am Really Stuck. Please Help Me, Please, Thanks, Granto

what resolution is it you ar running and at what refresh rate like 85hz etc. find this out and make sure your monitor supports this setting you use and if you find for this this long your monitor didnt support this refresh frequency in combination with your resolution then be happy your monitor lasted as long as it did.

Did you have any hardware, driver, software changes recent to this problem?

If you just said it was from exiting a game i would ask to check your hardware but as you said it happens when you just change your monitor resolution your cpu and ram are pretty much at idle so it must be monitor or your onboard grafix

This will NOT cause your problem.

Ok, Thanks man, I have used a different Driver, instead of the one that came with my gigabyte motherboard cd. I have used the one from the intel site, its the same driver version, but for some odd reason, it seems ITS WORKING LOL... WEIRD AYY. Well, Im not sure if its totally fixed yet, im just trialing it, but so far so good, i can alt tab out of games and everything, and it wont freeze up like before. So thnaks, ill write back if any more problems arise. Thanks, Granto
