Well guys im new to the forum but i have read alot on here and im positive some of you can help me out... well here is my problem:

I decided to update my bios on my mother board (Intel D865PERL) so i went to the Intel Site and got the bios update for my motherboard. After this i double clicked the .exe and it ran as it should, when it restarted it gave me a series of beeps (normal) then it went to a screen that read "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device" so i tried restarting and going into the bios and i went to boot priority, all it showed was my floppy drive and my CD-RW drive, no Hard drive detected. so I decided to try reinstalling windows and the windows setup detected my Hard drive and i went to install and it went to the screen that read press enter to install windows, press F8 to agree, etc, etc, the setup continued and it formated the drive, then it went to "setup is loading files" after that finished it said "setup will now reboot and then continue installation" it would reboot and then go back to the screen that read "press enter to install windows", ive even reset my CMOS and it didnt help at all... now im at a point where i have no idea what to do so.... if any of you have any suggestions it would be greatly aprecciated.

for the moment until further reading can be done can i reccomend restoring the original bios.
