I have just installed a Soltek SL-K8TPro-939 motherboard along with an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice core CPU, replacing my old MSI PT 880 Neo and Celeron 2.4. Now my computer will not boot to Windows. It gets to the win XP splash screen and then reboots. I can get into safe mode. I have no idea why it won't boot to windows, very frustrating....any ideas???

Hi Witman , welcome to PCHF.

It sounds like you replaced the motherboard and cpu and now trying to start windows without having re-installed anything?
If that is the case then windows is trying to run drivers and settings for the old motherboard.

You could try to install the new motherboard drivers in safemode and/or a repair install of windows to get it going again.
But i would recommend to backup youre C: disc , format and reinstall everything after switching youre motherboard.
