i hab a ASUS A8N SLI mobo
and pqi TURBO 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit System Memory Model PQI3200-1024DAH - Retail

i was wondering if these two were compatible?

I apologise most prefusely (spelling) that noone has replied to your question.
Memory isn't (wasn't) as unstable as it was way back when...that memory should work perfectly fine in that motherboard.
