Default [Pending] Motherboard worked then didnt........

Just made a new build yesterday, was all working fine, motherboard EPOX 8RDAi Pro, Anyway, had her up and running fine. It only has 512 MB of ram in it, so i decide to chuck in a 512 stick i had spare just to speed up the installlation process a little, so i shut it down, push in the 512 strip and as i do so, the PC came on for maybe a split second (just saw fans turn half an inch) and was a little suprised. Id forgotten to take the Power lead out. But as far as i know, this shouldnt have made any difference. Anyway, stood her back up, I hear everything boot and then hmm........ All the drives boot up, all the fans come on. However the motherboard DLED refuses to move past the status of 'FF' (it doesnt boot up atall). I tested all components other than the graphics card and Motherboard in another system i have and they all seem fine...... Motherboard dead?

Hi there , iantheace.

If both memory strips still work in an other pc then i would say youre mobo is fried and youre kindoff lucky that the rest still works.

So what are we saying then? Power supply or motherboard? Can you test either?
