Default [Fixed] windows won't boot after changing mobo

I've just changed my board and processor and put the old one in my brothers old Pentium III system. He's now got an Athlon 2600+ with Leadtek board. The Operating system and all old Hard-drives have been kept. The problem is that Windows is not starting. All the hardware is in right and BIOS is set right, all drives are found and listed, but I keep getting the screen telling me that there is a problem with windows starting, any offers as to a solution??

Because you are putting in a hard drive that was working in another system, it will still have the settings for the old motherboard / processor e.t.c

So I would recommend you format the hard drive and install windows while running on the new board.
