I am a computer animation student, and i work on my personal computer as well as in the computer labs. When it comes time light and texture my scene, it's nearly impossible to switch between work and home because the difference in brightness and color is so drastic.
I was wondering if there is a tool (cheap too, poor and hungry art student) that i can take with me to the labs, record the color settings of the monitors, and then calibrate my home monitor accordingly.
I know there are tools like Spyder Express and Pantone Huey, but I assume the software is required on both computers. I can't install anything on the lab computers. Unless there were a portable version, something i could put on my flash drive.
Thanks
