Angry Monitor multiple connection error

My PC has 4 monitor connection plugs. I've recently installed windows 7 on it, and now when i start it up, all the motherboard, bios, and loading screens and any error screens all appear on one of these connections, and everything else does on the other. This means I have to keep swapping which connection I'm using otherwise I get no signal and a blank monitor. Any help would be really appreciated!

Are you saying you have 4 monitors hooked up to that box?

no, there are 4 plugs at the back of the tower, but for some reason the one that the signal goes through is different for bios etc. to windows
