Hi Bev
Welcome to PC Help Forum That pic looks like an old parallel printer connector. The image further down is nice though

I agree with Wolfeymole but . . . . that can't be right. . . can it?
Can you give us any info from stickers/etc on the rear of your panel. I take it the LCD only has that lead (hard wired in), a 3-pin power connector and nothing else? |

Hi thanks for the quick reply. it definatley isn't a parralel connection.
I believe the monitor was originally from a shop, as in used in a shop. Have you heard of anti-theft connections or anything similar? **note: the monitor is not stolen** |

Bev
The power lead, which I call a kettle lead is completely detachable. The VGA lead however if it is detachable should look like this on either end. http://z.about.com/d/hometheater/1/7/G/9/vga2.JPG

Do any of these match your connection
http://i.ehow.com/images/GlobalPhoto...-main_Full.jpg If it's this next one we're in trouble http://www.pchelpwebshop.co.uk/image...cable_1.8m.jpg Again could you post any info found on the back of the monitor. If the screen did not originally come with that lead then you will need to get it re-wired to work. |
