Laptop Monitor is Blank

I have a Fujitsu Lifebook N Series laptop, model 3010. Someone gave it to me to see if I could fix the screen on it. It had Linux on it, which they didn't want anymore, so I reinstalled XP on it. I figured since it was ATI and it had Linux on it, maybe that was the issue. But even with XP, it still stays blank, aside from random chunks of squares that will sometimes show on it.

The Fujitsu support site says you need to download an AGP update and a video update, both of which I did, but still nothing. Anyone have any experience on these things that could help me out? Thanks.

Hello and welcome.

Have you tried connecting an external monitor and use Fn and F10 key to toggle between the external and laptop screen?

Do you get a picture on the external?

Yes, I have my LCD hooked up now and I get picture on it.

I downloaded and installed some drivers from OmegaDrivers but that still didn't do the trick. When I rebooted though, it tried to install a Video Controller but failed to do so. Idk if that is important.

This sounds like the lappy screen is done for Loki so unless you want to hook an external monitor to it 24/7 then I'd bin it is as the cost of replacing the lappy screen could be seriously expensive.
