Default Not Optimum Resolution, 1680 x 1050

Hey guys I recently bought a new Samsung SyncMaster T200Hd. I just installed a fresh version of windows today. Now when i start up my monitor gives me this message "Not Optimum Mode 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz".

I am running on 1600 x 1200 at the moment, but i cant find the one its looking for? The next one up is 1792 x 1344

Any ideas how i could change to optimum Res that its looking for?

Visit Samsung PDF for what modes are supported. Most likely, you're using too high of a frequency.

You will need to upgrade your graphic card driver to support the default monitor resolution of 1680 x 1050 x 60 ...

yeah i was thinking something like that also when i restart and the loading screen comes up the screen is going mad and jumping and flickering and loads of little different coloured squares flickering around which i presume now is definatly the drivers.
Iv had problems ever since i upgraded from nvidia to ati 4850 and could never get anywhere near the frame rates i should have so now i am trying to upgrade the drivers..

Im using Drivermax should that be ok?

If that is the correct Ati driver for your model graphic card, then yes it is...
