Please help me with my SiS661FX Problem.
I bought a Samsung SyncMaster 2253BW LCD monitor. I followed the installation guide, which involved installing a new driver specific for the monitor. When I plugged the new monitor in, I unable to set the resoltuion high enough through the display settings. Also there were a lot of moving pixels on screen.
I uninstalled all the drivers for both the new monitor and the graphics card. I then downloaded the latest drivers for both. After this I was now able to set the resolution correctly to the optimum setting, but the moving pixels problem remains.
In the Driver Mode Setting there is drop down menu in which I can only select CRT and no LCD. The LCD specific drop down menu is greyed out and unavailable. Is this where the problem is coming from? I checked on the SiS website and the product information for the 661FX claims it can support TFT-LCD output.
I also noticed that it makes no difference whatsoever when the Samsung driver is installed, and when it is not installed. Ive tried both the analogue and the digital specific drivers. There's no change in the display.
I am using XP sp3.
The monitor is connected on the regular cable, not the DVI.
Thanks!
