well i dunno it sucks i have never had a problem with it before i haved runn some pretty high end games perfectly fine such as cryis on the very top settings all high i talked to a computor store guy he said to buy a new card i think im gonna buy a gforce 9800 any recomendations

Hi, sorry for the delay I wouldnt go for NVidia right now, they are having some problems. I would recommend the Powercolor Radeon 4670. It is way faster than alot of things out there, and its not very expensive too..

I have just done the same thing, I moved my pc downstairs to use my 48" Samsung HD t.v, When I first starting to try and play games it would either crash to desktop (I fixed this by deleting and editing certain config files depending on each game) or when I done this they then started flickering untill I managed to get back to my desktop ..

For example, to get BF2 to work (playing the new AIX mod just now) I had to add a few commands to the actual shortcut to enable widescreen and make it the proper resolution...

I am actualy going to town today, to buy a dvi to hdmi cable for improved qaulity.


Before you switch over to different monitors/t.v outputs, check the instructions on the tv and the current monitor and find a resolution that is supported by both of them BEFORE switching over as this will cause problems as I found out.

I have an ATI Radeon X1800.

ok so i have tried all this and finnally i still have the damn squares only on high def video or if i make the video full screen like off youtube or something there is these squares just in the box where the video is for the rest of the time its perfectly fine i have no clue whats wrong i even bought a new card and it still does the same thing
