Default Monitor does not show. Urgent!

Recently, I went into my monitor properties. I wanted to remove dual monitors, because my mouse kept on going off screen and it was annoying me. However, I accidentally switched my screen to the 'second monitor', but I only have 1 monitor and only 1 monitor slot. Now, the computer is ignoring the monitor that is currently connected and I cannot reverse the process because there is no screen! I would greatly appreciate help. I have a Uni Assignment to finish before end of Uni holidays, and cannot afford to lose any time on this small mistake. Any ideas on how to fix this? It is quite urgent.

Have you tried going into Safe Mode, and then correcting the dual monitor problem in your graphics card properties?

Hi also if that don't work do the same thing but in the menus select "Last Known Good Configuration" also incase you don't know how to get to the menu you tap f8 key a few times when the PC is first turned on.
