Hi can anyone help explain why when I connect a PC using a cable splitter box to a monitor and a projector it flickers on the monitor screen. However the display on the projector is fine??

Hi Phill,I had a little think about this on what it could be.

Maybe power consumption the projector is using more resource.Causing monitor to flicker.Cable splitter box a little faulty.If you use the splitter but disconnect the projector does it still flicker?Or power off projector does it still flicker?

If both monitor and projector have same type connection try swopping them over on the splitter.

Could just be a loose/bad connection.

As monitor dont flicker during normal useage I would say splitter cable or projector using more resouces.

Hi ok I have been looking into this. Basically if you disconnect the projector it stops flickering on the monitor however, when connecting the old computer back up (which has been replaced with the new one) there is no problems :S But all this has been done using a cable splitter.....If you use a vga box splitter with a power adapter then theres no problems, so maybe I need to replace the cables with boxes??

It seems a connection problem or a power consumption.Or even the GPU.I am not sure on the issue.

It is down to testing or trying diffrent cables/boxes.
