Default Monitor changing colors

My 7 year old monitor has started changing screen colors. This occurs either as a gradual fade/change or an instant change. Also, it may function perfectly for up to two hours, then start changing the colors on the screen. I am ready to purchase a new monitor but, that if the problem is elswhere. Any help will be appreciated. Thanx, MKS.

Hi-- welcome to PCHF

The easiest way to test this is to hook it up to another PC... if it still does it-- you know it's the monitor. (I would think it is)
