Default Gettting no signal after standby

Every time I either put my computer in to standby and then turn it back on, or unplug the monitor and then plug it back in...the monitor gives me a "No Signal" message. It seems that for the monitor to pick up the signal, it has to be plugged in when the computer starts. I tested it on another computer and had the same issue, so it is definitely the monitor. Anyone have any ideas? It is a fairly new ASUS monitor.

Thanks

VW193T. The IT guy at work recommended checking for drivers for the monitor, but I didn't find any on the ASUS site.

Hello Sambisu. Is your monitor connected using a DVI or VGA cable? If you are using the Analog connection (VGA) and the monitor is set Digital (DVI) then it is possible the monitor is not getting the proper signals. You will find the settings under the OSD (OnScreen Display). Check your Users Guide.

Two things to try. One is try the VGA cable and two is try swapping the DVI cable to see if that is defective. Asus does not put out drivers for your monitor. Your monitor has a three year warranty so if it is not the cables and you are sure your video card is not at fault which it appears it is not from your comments. Then you have a faulty monitor. One other thing. Check the power options in Windows.
