I have an e-machines computer which came with an e-machines monitor. It's a 17inch monitor. Model is eView 17f. Basically the problem is the monitor randomly turns itself on and off. Usually we turned the monitor off whenever we weren't using the computer but lately when we turn it off and try to turn it on it wouldn't turn on. But it would randomly come back on by itself. So we just started leaving the monitor on all the time. But now it's turning off by itself even if we don't turn it off. Can anything be done or it is time to simply buy a new monitor? Oh and the button to turn the power on and off is kinda loose like one side goes in further than the other which it definitely did not do when we got it.

It could be a heat problem.
It could also be the on/off switch.
If you can plug it into a different computer, give that a try.

I would buy a new monitor. Plug it in.
If it gives the same symptoms, then you know you have a different problem and you can return the monitor.

If the problem is resolved, then you know it was the monitor.
